Tamassa Hotel

In the Mauritian south-west town of Bel Ombre, visitors will find the four star Tamassa set against the picture perfect backdrop of sugarcane fields and mountains. The area boasts spectacular walks and drives through the hillsides.
At the foot of the traditionally styled hotel lie white sandy beaches and a tranquil turquoise lagoon, and the hotel sits among landscaped gardens and tropical surroundings.

The standard rooms are decorated with pure simple lines and natural wood with bright green touches that blend into the trees outside through the terrace doors. Each standard room features specially designed linen, a spacious bathroom with a corner bath and separate shower cubicle.

The superior rooms are decorated with warm, sunny colours and clean contemporary lines with touches of red orange. Each superior room features a bathroom with a bath, separate shower cubicle with sintered-class tiling and a wardrobe.

The deluxe rooms are decorated with Kiaat wood in contemporary lines and a touch of fuchsia for a dramatic effect. Each room features an en suite bathroom with marble edged bath and separate shower decorated with sintered-glass tiling.

All the rooms at the Tamassa feature a terrace or balcony with sea views and include air conditioning and a ceiling fan, satellite television, mini bar, safe and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.

Tamassa boasts a number of restaurants to cater to every taste. The main restaurant overlooks the swimming pool and features international cuisine prepared in the open kitchens. The Beach Restaurant and Bar serves hearty salad lunches and Latin cuisine and guests can enjoy themed evenings, buffets and a la carte dining.
The Lounge Bar is a combination of traditional and modern dÈcor where visitors can enjoy the excellent local rum or inventive Mauritian cocktails.

SENSES, the spa at the Tamassa, offers treatments based on indigenous flowers, fruit and vegetables. The spa features a Hydrotherapy Vichy Shower Treatment Room, Aesthetic treatment room with private shower, Hot tub, Sauna, Hammam, Paul Mitchell hairdressing Salon and Spa Boutique.

Tamassa boasts three pools as well as a number of water and land based sports at no charge, including windsurfing, aqua gym, pedal boats, kayaks, sailing, snorkelling, glass-bottom-boat rides and water-skiing. gym, beach volley, stretching classes, table tennis, petanque and floodlit tennis courts.

Tamassa also includes a childrenís club with a dining room on the terrace, 2 internet-access screens, a sandpit and a rest room where they are attended to by qualified staff who organise activities to keep them busy. Tamassa also offers a Teens club which provides games machines, a billiard table and table football, as well as organised activities.
